Friends of the Library

The Friends meet on the 4th Monday of each month at 6:30 and sponsor fundraising events such as the Spring Plant and Book Sale and the Holiday Bazaar. Funds are used for library programs throughout the year, buying new books, the Master Gardener program and the purchase of project supplies. One and all are invited to join this group. You can donate time or services to suit your schedule and dues are only $5 per year. For information call librarian Loona Brogan, 802-454-8504. The Friends' current goals are to support the library by building membership and selling their cookbook, "Cooking with Friends." This is a community cookbook available at the library for a reduced price of $8! It was inspired by the 1934 Mother's Club Cookbook and has many of the recipes that originally appeared there. In addition there are family recipes from current Plainfield folks. All proceeds go toward new books for the library's growing collection.
