Loona Brogan has been the Library Director at the Cutler Memorial Library since August of 2010. She came to the job by way of Goddard College, where she served the academic community as a support staff in the Academic Services Office.  She brings a diverse background and a love of books and the Plainfield community to the position.  Loona has worked with children and adults in educational and residential/therapeutic settings in Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, Texas and California.  She studied Natural Resources at the graduate level at UVM before deciding she'd rather be a librarian.

Loona originally hails from Michigan, but has lived in Plainfield on-and-off since 1998. In years past, she has served on the Vermont Urban and Community Forestry Advisory Council, as a Plainfield Co-Op board member and founded the Vermont Tree Society. She learned to love books and libraries at a very young age, and considers this the best job in the whole world.

Loona also works at the Kellogg-Hubbard Library in Montpelier.
